Threading

A centuries-old technique with origins in the Middle East and South Asia, threading uses cotton thread to remove hair. It is an all-natural, gentle method of accurately removing unwanted hair for people of all skin types, especially for those with sensitive skin. By far the least invasive method of facial hair removal, this method creates a graceful brow with clean, well-defined edges that frame the eye.



Threading allows for a more defined and precise shape and can create better definition for eyebrows. It is also used as a method of removing unwanted hair on the entire face and upper lip area.


Here at The Greenhouse Spa, threading services are offered by Uravi Jariwala, who has been practising this ancient technique for past 10 years. It is almost an art form for her now! She takes a thin cotton thread and twists it into a double strand, which is then swept along the skin almost in a rhythmic movement, locking the unwanted hair in the thread and lifting from follicle with precision and finesse.
